What you'll be doing

As a barista at Oliver Green, you’ll be the face of our brand, embodying our commitment to fresh, healthy food and excellent customer service. Whether you’re greeting guests, taking orders, making coffee, your role is essential in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone.

What a day looks like

8:30 AM: You arrive together with your kitchen colleague to get everything ready before the doors open at 9.00 Together, you set up the stations, prepare ingredients, and ensure the space is ready to welcome our first guests.
9:00 AM: The doors open, and the first customers arrive for breakfast and coffee. You greet them with a smile, take their orders, and prepare their drinks.
10:00 AM: A second colleague arrives to join the team. You collaborate to manage orders and keep the flow running smoothly, balancing preparation and customer service.
Morning: While helping guests, you also work through a checklist to prepare for lunch, our busiest time of day. This includes stocking up on ingredients, ensuring all equipment is ready, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Lunch Rush: You’re fully focused on the busiest part of the day, preparing coffee and taking orders. Everyone works together to keep things efficient and ensure every guest gets the best experience.
Afternoon: After the lunch rush, you restock, clean, and complete smaller tasks to prepare for the evening team.
End of Shift: Before heading out, you tidy your station, check in with your team, and leave knowing you’ve played a vital role in making the day a success at Oliver Green.

What we are looking for

You’re taking a gap year or studying at a college or university and looking for a part-time job to combine with your studies or you are looking for a hospitality job for flexible hours.
You’re available part-time (12–32 hours per week) and for at least 6 months. Oliver Green is open 7 days a week from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, except on Fridays and Saturdays when we close at 4:00 PM—so your evenings on those days are always free!
You live in Amsterdam or nearby, making it easy to get to work.
You’re passionate about healthy food and enjoy working in a kitchen environment. You thrive in a dynamic setting where freshness and quality are top priorities.
You have great communication skills, speak fluent English (Dutch is a plus), and can easily connect with customers in a friendly and personal way.
You’re a team player who is proactive and solution-oriented. You love creating a great experience for guests and working together with colleagues to deliver the best results.
Prior experience as a barista is required but, your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are what matter most!
